Hi world,

Get your rocks off with TRAVELLERS JOURNAL - BORACAY and chill out by the beach even when you're stuck in the traffic on Makati Ave. The album is inspired by my journey from London to Boracay in 2006. You can listen to the album @ multiply or go to www.travellersjournaltunes.com our very simple website designed to link all the Travellers Journal pages together. If you love it and want to buy it it's in Music One and other well known stores in the Philippines or you can order online from www.cdbaby.com/cd/travellersjournal. But whatever you do drop by and say hello, life's a beach,

Matt

The first in a series of albums telling stories from travellers all around the world. Dromomania - the compulsive urge to travel is becoming more and more contagious with thousands of people throwing a rucksack on their back, picking exciting destinations they have only dreamt of, buying a round trip ticket and leaving their job.

This urge to travel is being recorded by way of journals, photographs, memories and storytelling. The TRAVELLERS JOURNAL concept tells travellers' tales through music and photographs with genuine sounds from the street, nature and local dialogue.

TRAVELLERS JOURNAL - BORACAY is a concept by musician Matt Deegan who records whilst on the road with artists from all around the world contributing to the album and Matt has used his connections with these musicians to creats a truly unique album. The album is split into three musical genres; drum & bass, house and chillout. These boundries overlap so BORACAY flows smoothly from one genre to the next.

DROMOMANIA - the compulsive urge to travel

TUBE - time to start moving

MABUHAY - welcome to the Philippines

IF IT FIT'S IT'S HIP - finding your way in life and travel

CEBU - I'm in your city, Cebu

FORGETTING - a reflection on the travels so far and the travels yet to come

SLIP - slip into beach life in Boracay

RUNNING FREE - dancing through the sunset

ENCHANTED DARK - look up at the beautiful night sky and fall asleep on the beach

The website www.travellersjournaltunes connects all the TRAVELLERS JOURNAL sites together so you're only one click away from being able to listen, view, read or buy BORACAY.

For the digital downloads please email us if you would like us to send you all the artwork FREE with your purchase. Just send an email with your request to travellersjournaltunes@yahoo.co.uk

TRAVELLERS JOURNAL - BORACAY is my first album. The tale I am telling is through music and pictures. It's a journey from London (UK)- Boracay (Philippines) and it features musicians from throughut the world. The journey starts on a summers morning dreaming of travel and takes the listener through the underground, airports, jeepney rides, cities, towns and villages until finally arriving in Boracay, a paradise in itself. I have recorded the album on my laptop whilst on the road and have incorporated authentic native sounds from the journey. It's a new approach to storytelling and one that I will continue to use. Have a listen and see if TRAVELLERS JOURNAL - BORACAY takes you somewhere new, where do you wanna go?

you can listen @ www.cdbaby.com/cd/travellersjournal or www.myspace.com/travellersjournal

Enjoy your travels,
Matt

At last TRAVELLERS JOURNAL - BORACAY is out now to buy online @ www.cdbaby.com/cd/travellersjournal or physically in any good record stores in the Philippines (at the moment, but soon it will be a little more widespread). It's taken one and a half years to put this album together as the artist has been writing it whilst working as a musician on a cruise ship. The lack of means of communication has made it take a lot longer then he had envisioned. The album is truly a travellers tale as he have recorded musicians from all around the world. If you check out his main myspace page you can see who did what. He loves this way of working (and will continue to do so) because he gets to meet so many fantastic musicians who all contribute in some way to shape the album, making it truly unique. It's not too often that every single player on an album is from a different country! He thinks the next step is to find the means to do this again with a different destination in mind. He have five tracks of the next album already sitting in his head waiting to be shaped into another travelers tale. Maybe if he sees you on his travels he can add you into his album! Hope you enjoy the music, and remember to tell the world. Help support independent musicians.
